8th grade assembly held last period

A surprise 8th grade assembly was held last period in the auditorium today to discuss upcoming events for the grade.

Up-Coming Events

1. Math Test Monday and Tuesday (Need to Be Here At 7:45)

2. Parent Dinner: Thursday March 27 from 6-8pm. Bring parents to learn information on senior activities, a chance to meet and talk with your teachers, and also a great meal. Prizes will be given out to everyone that comes.

3. Parent Expo (TBA)

4. Senior Activities: Prom, Senior Trip June 10 to Connecticut, and Graduation at Lehman H.S June 21

Announcements:

1. Senior Dues: for Perseverance to Ms.Sowin, Inquiry to Ms. Tille by March 24. Cash and
money orders only in order to participate in activities.

2. Detention: if you arrive to school more than five minutes late you have to suffer detention after-school in the auditorium, beginning Monday March 10.

Math Test Update

The State Math Test will be on Monday March 10, 2008. Students must be in the building at the latest 7:45 due to metal detectors issues. There will be breakfast severed starting at 7:15 am. Many teacher's will serve cereal bars and juice to there students. Book one will be on Monday and will be multiple choice. Books Two and Three 3 will be on Tuesday.

Inquiry Idol for Month of February

On March 3, 2008 Team Inquiry held their assembly for "Inquiry Idol," the awards for kids that improved during the month of February. In addition to the awards, during the assembly senior updates were also given:

Students assemble before break

An emergency eighth grade assembly was held eighth period on Febuary 15, the last day of school before mid-winter break. The assembly was to announce to the entire grade the upcoming dates and activities that will affect the senior class. There was a slide show created by Porfirio O (me) and edited by Ms. Batchelor. Ms. Bolton, the eighth grade assistant principal said, "It's a great way to bring the eighth grade together."
